A stylised promotional image featuring a handmade puppet seated on a tree stump. The puppet has large, expressive eyes, a face made from printed text, short straw-like hair, green gloves, and wears a checked shirt, green trousers and white boots. Behind it are simple graphic shapes: a large yellow circle, a smaller blue circle, grass silhouettes, and icons including a red wheelbarrow, a blue spade, and a bird in flight.

Presented by Wayward Objects

Meet Olive, a park-keeper on a mission to tackle litter, and Teaspoon, an anarchic bird puppet made entirely from discarded materials. Their story unfolds in and around a life-sized wheelbarrow, where everyday objects become creatures, tools, and curious new forms.

As Olive tidies the park, she has surprising encounters with wildlife and curious visitors. Handmade puppets, clever contraptions, and found objects transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, inviting audiences to look closer and notice the hidden stories around them.

A playful, planet-loving adventure for family audiences, designed for galleries, festivals, and intimate performance settings.

The show has been created and performed by recycling artist Michelle Reader and musician Steno Vitale. After the show there will be time to meet the puppets and performers, explore the wheelbarrow world and invent your own characters and stories using recycled materials.
